I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
